Envision Festival Co-Presents: The Human Experience – David Block
& Gone Gone Beyond at The Public Works San Francisco.
We’re proud to Co-Present an incredible evening this FRIDAY with The Human Experience – David Block & Gone Gone Beyond at The Public Works SF. This night will be filled with charity and music as the “Things Are Changing Tour” takes over San Francisco to benefit A Better Life Foundation.
David Block, a.k.a. The Human Experience, is a renowned electronic composer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. In celebration of the 10 year anniversary of The Human Experience and the release of his new album “Stillness in Motion”, Block has just announced a 10-date west coast tour. For the first time ever, Block will be joined by his live band, Gone Gone Beyond — a veritable supergroup featuring Danny Musengo, Kat Factor and Mel Seme. The full tour schedule is detailed at: www.HumanExperienceCreations.com
Gone Gone Beyond was initially created as an acoustic group at Envision Festival for the first time, after being invited to do an “unplugged” set at the Village Witches Stage. The “Things Are Changing” album cover was taken on the beach at the grounds of Envision and this is the first time that they are doing a national tour. This was also the first time that the band came together to play roots, acoustic music, leading the way for the creation and evolution of the idealism that led into this tour.
The Things Are Changing Tour (named after GGB’s recent 2019 album release) will visit select cities in California, Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia. Each night of the tour will feature two sets – a live-band performance from Gone Gone Beyond, along with a headline DJ set from The Human Experience. Additionally, each date will feature collaborative performances from either Moontricks or Lazy Syrup Orchestra (featuring Duncan Smith of The Funk Hunters).
Every stop on the tour will be personally curated by Block; aimed at inspiring creativity, community, art, and movement. Local non-profit organizations, performers, artisans, and other creators will be invited to celebrate his intrinsic belief, “Things are changing, for the better this time.”
This stop in San Francisco will be directly benefited towards The Better Life Foundation. The mission of The Better Life Foundation is to make a positive change in the lives of children in need of food, shelter and medical assistance, and to enhance the lives of children and young adults in need. Each year The Better Life Foundation works to raise money that can be distributed to organizations and hospitals that serve as the vehicle to fulfill the mission of children being afforded a better life in which they can develop their potential, achieve their goals, and, become caring and responsible adults.
The Better Life Foundation is currently doing a token program, where you can purchase a token to feed and give someone a celebrated and warm meal, personally served to them. This dining experience allows for people who donate to come in and be a chef and personally serve those in need. Gone Gone Beyond will be completing this full mission for Canada Thanksgiving in Vancouver.
David Block commented on this impactful tour, “We are coming around nationally and we want to have a non-profit presence throughout all of our tour dates, truly showcasing what is happening on a local and global level through support of different charity events.” He continued, “Envision Festival is everything that we love about festival culture and it’s not just a festival that people are coming in and celebrating. Its education, its community, its something more than just a celebration. Envision encapsulates that perfectly and that has truly been our goal all along.’
