Bienvenidos, we hope you’ve already found your way here to beautiful Costa Rica or are reading this while enroute to join us! For those who have early arrival and have been watching as this Shangri La of a jungle city comes alive the sweat is flowing, the dancefloors are just about ready and the excitement in the air is palpable.
To kick off day one at Envision we really wanted to open up with an appetizer of flavorful ideas in a showcase of what you can expect for the days ahead. That’s why in the late hours of Thursday we’re hosting seven back-to-back TED-style talks in a sampler platter of our keynote speakers, including: Crimson Rose, Kip Anderson, Summer Rayne Oak, Rob Greenfield, Erin Schrode, Stephen Brooks, and John Perkins.
In addition to first dibs at the merch booth, some of the most primo spots in the campground and an early lay of the land, those who get here soon will be among the first to see the Portal from Carey Thompson, the Earth Mandalas from Cory Glory, and (later) the flame effects setup by the pyrophoric superhero Justin Newman. They will also enjoy a first look at the new, next level, stage designs.
If you’re one of the many headed here now, take your time. Try to remember that it’s a long journey, but when you arrive it will all have been worth it. We’re excited to welcome you to your jungle home away from home and we know the journey may have had a few unexpected challenges but you’re almost there so smile, enjoy the scenic route and shine the whole way as the best version of yourself. Yes, before long you’ll be drinking coconuts and dancing in the moonlight, but until then let’s remember that as a community we want to be respectful, mindful and helpful where we can to those who welcome us into their county. Moreover, as good stewards of the future, it falls to each of us to ensure that our journey to celebrate together brings positivity to others at the airport, at the festival and in the cities around Costa Rica. Seize the opportunity in each step that brings you nearer to the festival, by really walking-the-walk all the way here in every chance you get!
