Whakapainiga (Whaka//Wa-ka) started sharing the gift of flight in 2009. In 2014 he helped co-create Acro Revolution an intermediate teacher training program. Whaka, the native Maori healer, is the spiritual heartbeat of the Acro Yoga movement Having always been a warrior and athlete, Whaka found the healing power of acropeutics and the joy of acrobatics when he was living in the US as a semi-professional rugby player. After years of destroying his body, he has spent the past 10 years healing it through yoga, thai massage and the gift of “flight” (acro/acropeutics). Whaka has traveled around the world, flying folks at festivals, cruise ships, movie sets, mansions, floors of bars, on the street, and exotic retreats helping over 7,000 people find the gifts of trust, joy, laughter, play, balance, and release through acro.
Since you were a kid you dreamed of flying. Make that dream come true with Whakapaingia & Diego this weekend. Whaka will teach you how to fly and make other humans soar above the ground. Through a playful fun inspiring way Whaka will give the foundations of Acro such as bone stacking, timing, tempo, etc.. while building skills of trust, play, and communication. Become a kid again and fly!
