Torn between wanting to bring everything and wanting to travel light? Wondering what to pack? Well it’s a good idea to start with the essentials. That’s why we’ve put together this useful packing list. Peruse it and start with the basics, then find a way to bring that hat collection.
These are the fundamentals for festival-ing. They’re the items anyone would pack. A lot of these items might also be found on a basic camping packing list.
Envision is a unique festival held in a special location and there are some specific items that should be packed in order to be fully prepared:
A yoga mat for the many yoga workshops; it also doubles as a comfy ground pad to nap on.
Dress for the weather. It is very hot during the day, so shorts, t-shirts and sundresses are great. But there is always the chance of rain so a small rain poncho or tarp could come in handy.
A small notepad and pencil: jot down that new concept you just learned from a speaker or save the contact details the name of an awesome new friend or artist.
A hat: the sun can be intense and a good hat will keep the sun off of your neck and face.
Ear plugs: these come in handy while on the dancefloor and for sleeping.
A multi-vitamin: Emergen-C is great because it comes in small packets and it contains electrolytes for added hydration!
What you should leave at home
The sleeping bag or any bedding can be left at home. Save the space in your bag and bring a tapestry or sarong instead because it stays quite warm at night. Leave expensive cameras or video equipment at home. Envision has lockers where you can store your valuables, but sometimes it’s best to leave that expensive equipment at home. There are always things we need to bring, and feel free to bring something else to add to the fun, but remember that if it gets packed in, it needs to get packed out.
