Who caught that legendary Random Rab sunrise set? He’s become a household name and a trademark ritual to experience at the festival since the beginning but this one was exceptionally special. Between his transcendental grooves on that breath-taking stage and the pack of monkeys that cheered him on from the trees in the final moments that was a gem of a memory that we’re proud to count among our favorite so far. The best part was probably when the build crew took the stage for a quick bow and the outpouring of gratitude that gushed out of the crowd in result was roared back with excitement and appreciation. It was indicative of the hearty spirit of gratitude that each step of the way has so much been a part of who we are.
Heading now into Day Four, be sure not to miss the presentation from Will Roger, Cultural Co-Founder at Burning Man, In the Search for the Common Shaman, he’ll be leading a grounded talk about the gravity of ritual and shared consciousness alongside a reading from his forthcoming autobiographical book release. Afterward try to spend some time soaking in the talk scheduled for 4:15pm at the Village Witches from Sarah Wu, Envision Co-Founder. Closing out the Village Witches area Sarah’s talk Coming Out of the Broom Closet will dispel a few myths and tackle the perception of the modern witch to update it with a more appropriate understanding to better serve these times.
